Sally is an incredibly detail-focused and diligent Test Analyst who has worked for me on a large program of work here at Gazprom Energy. In that time I have found Sally to be especially professional, helpful and very quick learner as the industry and degree of transformational change the program has delivered has been both quite specialist and also mentally intense given the industry and timescales we operate to. Sally, coming fresh to the business and industry has taken it upon herself to seek out answers and knowledge from both the project teams and business alike to get acquainted and equipped to become what she eventually has become recognised to be one of the high performers on the program team and a great asset to the Test Team as a whole. In her time here, she has worked on both Data Cleansing and Data Migration activity as well as juggling her Functional Assurance and Test activities expertly on a day to day basis. I recruited Sally 3 months ago to fill a Test manager vacancy in my team at Slater & Gordon. I had worked at the same company as Sally historically, so I knew she came with a good reputation but can honestly say that she has surpassed all my expectations. Sally was introduced to the company at a time when two major projects were simultaneously nearing completion. Testing resource had been light throughout the project and sally helped to pull together effective Test plans and mobilise the resources from her team to help deliver them without any defined testing processes or tools. Sally has worked tirelessly – she is the hardest working contractor I have managed in my career – to get the testing elements of these projects successfully delivered and to raise test standards, particularly test reporting. Particularly remarkable has been her ability to be effective whilst simultaneously learning a new business, industry, systems and (often challenging) stakeholders. I have also been hugely impressed with Sally’s leadership skills. She has worked closely with her team, collaborating constantly and arranging unprompted team meetings and 1:1s to offer support. She has generated a real team spirit amongst a newly established team which has been pleasing for me to observe. She has also closely mentored and coached underperforming members of the team. Sally will be a genuine asset to any team. I am sorry that she has chosen to pursue a more ‘Hands-on’ testing career and wish her every success for the future.
I worked with Sally for several years at Swinton Insurance and can honestly say she’s one of the most dedicated, driven and passionate people I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Sally was instrumental in implementing rigorous QA processes within the development team. She knew exactly what type of testing and how much testing was required across all the SDLC. She pushed the QA team to be fully involved in th gathering of requirements to ensure that as a team they had a shared understanding and visibility of future enhancements and projects. As the QA team leader Sally listened to the team and led them to implement major changes, all of which had a huge impact on improving the quality and reducing the timescales for delivery.
